Remake of Black Flag will feature new scenes with Edward Kenway

The actor Matt Ryan, who brought the protagonist to life, opened up in a recent interview with Game Informer. He explained that the new content was not just created to artificially extend the campaign duration, a cheap trick often used by the industry to justify re-editions. On the contrary, the professional emphasized that the new scenes further help to develop the character and make the journey more emotional, noting that reuniting with the pirate felt like meeting "an old friend" again and that the new script sequences really "leapt off the pages" during the studio recordings.

The community began to stir since the project's announcement. Many players have expressed concern about how much Ubisoft intends to alter the structure of the classic experience originally released back in 2013, questioning if forcefully adding new content might ruin the excellent pacing of the original campaign. Black Flag Resynced is set to launch on July 9th for PS5. The developer's idea is to completely update the classic, bringing robust technical improvements along with these new mechanics and story segments to expand the maritime journey.
