After the non-release of Black Myth: Wukong on Xbox, Microsoft comments on controversy!

The release of Black Myth: Wukong was massive, both in terms of player reach and controversies. The Chinese game was released only for PC and PlayStation 5, leaving the Xbox Series X/S platforms out and not even providing an explanation.

Some developers, and even PlayStation fans, tried to say that "Xbox" was a platform that no one cares about, but nothing was confirmed, not even the identity of the developer, which left this issue only in the realm of console wars.

After that, IGN managed to reveal that the absence of the game on Microsoft's consoles was not due to technical reasons, but because of an exclusivity contract that Sony had reportedly signed with Game Science.

With the revelations given by IGN and the pressure from console fans, Microsoft ended up revealing to Forbes some details about the lack of the game, claiming that it was not due to hardware.

"As we said before, we are excited about the release of Black Myth: Wukong on Xbox Series X/S and we are working with Game Science to bring the game to our platforms. We prefer not to comment on the deals made by partners with owners of other platforms, but we can confirm that the delay is not due to limitations of the Xbox platform," the company said.

The statements end up giving more strength to the news about the agreement made by Game Science and Sony, which contradicts many insiders who have shown discouragement with the idea of the Xbox Series S, the less powerful console of Microsoft's new generation!
